Welcome!

This blog has been created to host search for information about my grandfather's photographs from World War II. I am looking for any information regarding my Grandfather, Sgt. Herndon Elmer Mullennix.

He served in England for 23 months with the 8th Air Force, 392 Bombardment Group, 576th Bombardment Squadron. According to his Honorable Discharge papers, "He maintained and repaired 50 caliber machine guns and Martin, Sperry, Emerson and Consolidated gun turrets. He was also a bomb-rack specialist and supervised the loading of bombs on B-24s. He also modified armament equipment to meet tech order requirements."

I'll include names whenever I can and if you can fill in any blanks, please either email me or leave them in the comments section. Thank you and enjoy!
